The thought of this man, in this role, with this man directing a story by one of the most darkly humourous and innovative writers of well... ever, is sending tingles to places in my body you prolly don't want to know about.
Aheh. Did I mention Mars (planet of passion) moved into Scorpio (planet of all things sexay, kinkay and downright evilicious) on Thursday? And, um, it's Spring Down Under? Plus, I'm feeling... you know... HAPPY (bordering on euphoric), for the first time in months?
Yep. I've never felt more naughty in my life. Be warned. Be very warned.
That poster strikes me as being a bit...sinister, somehow. Of course, I read the book as a kid and thought it was rather silly, so maybe that's just me.
Ith and Funky: I quite liked the first movie, but it didn't capture the he darkness of Dahl's humour, or a lot of the subtext of the novel.
These days, children's books are displaying the blackness quite openly and kids seem to be embracing it, as are the film versions of these books. So yes, he looks sinister, and entirely appropriately in my opinion. :)
Burton, Depp, & Elfman together.
I can't see this thing being anything but great.
And I think that Wonka WAS a bit sinister. Taking great pleasure in toying with people's lives. Bit of a sadist, really. Depp should do a much better job than Gene Wilder.
I can't wait! :-)
I so can't wait for that movie to come out! Love Johnny Depp. Love Willy Wonka. And the thought of those 2 coming together is enough to make me explode!
BTW - I totally hear ya about the naughty bizness. I had the most wonderful dream this morning - quite graphic only to be rudely awoken by the alarm clock. I tried going back to sleep to see how my dreamed turned out, but no such luck. :(
Mmmmm...yes, a little sinister. First impressions from the poster reminded me somewhat of Clockwork Orange...I WANT that Top Hat!...and the naughtiness....must be the weather. Like Yayaempress, I've been having yummy dreams filled with Fence-net stockings, FMB's & corsets ;-)
Johnny Depp is in the movie? Well, I guess the snozzberries won't be the sweetest thing in the chocolate factory... heh heh...
Er. Um... Er.... Rather... Um.
This comment never happened. I am completely and utterly heterosexual. I would make love to every woman in here and I'd love it immensely. Get it? Never happened.
